The events team at Auburn Oil Co. Booksellers is always coming up with creative ideas for events to get folks in the door time & again. From wine pairings to book clubs to book fairs, they craft gatherings that are a win-win for all involved. Learn how they do it and be newly inspired to try some of their ideas at your store!

Store manager Mari Wilkes says she is excited to introduce the bookstore to other booksellers. "We have hosted some pretty big events lately," she says, "and we were recently chosen as the hub for shipping signed copies of Theo of Golden all across the country. I felt like it was time that we make ourselves known to other bookstores and booksellers and develop a relationship with them!

The bookstore is known for it's literary/wine events. "We have an amazing relationship with our store's wine rep. With her help and her detail to curating amazing wine lists, we have really branched out with our events. We have successfully put on many literary/wine education events that have proven time and time again to bring in a great crowd and make our store known in the community," says Wilkes. Their March Madness presentation will be led by the store events team.

At lunch, booksellers will meet Rebecca Lang, food writer and author of Pimento Cheese: The Southern Spread.
