The Southern Book Prize: More of What Readers Are Saying About Their Local Bookstores

Posted By: Nicki Leone Southern Book Prize,

More wonderful, enthusiastic comments from people who voted for the Southern Book Prize when they were asked to say something about their local bookstores:

The Classic Bookshop of Palm Springs (Palm Springs, FL) does it all: locals, wedding parties, conventioneers, tourists, beach day people, little kids + beyond! AND they know the regulars, so they steer you to what you're gonna like!

The staff at McIntyre's Books (Pittsboro, NC) is always helpful and friendly and has helped me find new authors to read and love.

Cheryl at 44th and 3rd Booksellers (Atlanta, GA) has such a great vision for the store and her curation of titles is excellent. She's been a champion for Terah Shelton Harris and helping Terah's work reach a wider audience.

Flyleaf Books (Chapel Hill, NC) has creative and knowledgeable owners and staff, brimming with recommendations and suggestions for the next book to read

WordsWorth Books is my favorite place in Little Rock, AR!

Aside from its charm and welcoming spirit, the curation at Resist Booksellers (Petersburg, VA) is exemplary. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They have great sidelines also.

M. Judson, Bookseller (Greenville, SC)  is the hub of our literary community and plays a vital role in our overall cultural scene. The bookstore is supportive of writers and readers alike, and their careful curation and expert advice make any visit a treat indeed.

Every time a person votes for the Southern Book Prize, they are asked about their local bookstore. Bookstores can get their own customers involved by sharing the Southern Book Prize ballot link:
