Linda-Marie BarrettLinda-Marie Barrett / Executive Director:
Reading: I’m digging through books to move to our little free library and found Best Beach Ever by Wendy Wax. Just a few pages in and I’m enjoying it. I’m also cleaning out my office and workspace and reading through old SIBA newsletters, conference programs, and more. A poignant trip down memory lane.
Listening: A house finch has taken up residence in one of our hanging baskets on the front porch. She and her mate built a nest and are now in the process of birthing and raising a family. The finches sing to each other and squawk when fighting off intruders. Many other bird species call our front and back yard home and we delight in identifying them by their songs.
Watching:
Only two more episodes of The Other Bennet Sister(sigh). Such great viewing! We also started watching the later seasons of Foyle’s Warwhich is so wonderfully filmed and acted, and includes an actress with one of my favorite names: Honeysuckle Weeks.

CandiceCandice Huber / Membership:
Reading: Doing a study of art and activism, and I have three books on the list so far: The War of Art: A History of Artists' Protest in America by Lauren O'Neill-Butler; The Art of Activism by Steve Duncombe and Steve Lambert; and Acts of Resistance: The Power of Art to Create a Better World by Amber Massie-Blomfield. If you have book recs for this subject, I'd love to hear them!
Listening: My cats Evangeline and Leota LOVE an open window, so I've been opening one of the large windows in my office every day for them. This means I'm listening to a lot of birds, cars, people, wind, and outside noises!
Watching
: Widow's Bay on AppleTV has been peak horror comedy and rides the line between the two extremely well. It's been really enjoyable!

SP RankinSP Rankin / Website Administrator:

Listening:
Summer listening always trends toward the soulful and the bluesy, and this summer is certainly no exception. My favorite playlist lately has featured Durand Jones and the Indications.
Watching:
Bluebirds and doves landing on the power line in front of my living room window. They seem very fond of it, which I appreciate.

Andi RichardsonAndrea Richardson / Sales:
Reading: I have about six books I am dying to crack into and it's giving me decision paralysis.

: Summer Slasher by EL Chen. I always love an homage to slasher movies.
Watching
