NVNR: Ask Us Anything!
At New Voices New Rooms, we know that the most valuable resource at the conference is not the authors, the piles of ARCs, or even the many education sessions. It is the conference attendees themselves, a deep resource of wisdom and industry experience, usually laden with totebags full of books.
For that reason, NVNR makes a point of showcasing the experience of booksellers at the conference by recruiting them to act as moderators and leaders at education sessions and group discussions.
Even so, booksellers come to NVNR with many more questions than can be addressed in even a full day of education. So on Tuesday, August 4, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., NVNR is hosting "Ask Me Anything" Table Rounds in the Exhibit Hall. The tables will be staffed by booksellers and book industry people ready to offer their expertise to anyone who asks.
There is no such thing as a stupid question! Some tables will have specific topics, depending on who is there. Others are more general. All are led by people who are eager to share what has worked best for them:
