Three SIBA Booksellers Complete Basic Bookselling Course
SIBA congratulates the three booksellers who have earned their certifications from the Professional Booksellers School (PBS).
Imani Johnson-Bey of Tubby & Coo's Traveling Bookshop in New Orleans, and Cristen Chester and Kate Kiefer Lee, both of Long Story Books in Atlanta, have all received their certification in Basic Bookselling from the Professional Booksellers School. All three were independent study students, opting to complete the coursework on their own time, yet demonstrating the same proficiency as booksellers enrolled in the live courses.
As part of its commitment to bookseller development, SIBA sponsors the Professional Booksellers School, and SIBA booksellers receive discounts for enrolling and are eligible for reimbursement upon completion of a certification course.
