Opportunity to sign onto the H.R. 7661 Joint Statement

SIBA booksellers have the opportunity to sign on to a statement against H.R. 7661, (also known as the Federal Book Banning Bill), which is anticipated to reach the House floor after the recess (4/14 or later). The statement was drafted by the National Education Association, the American Booksellers Association/American Booksellers for Free Expression, Authors Against Book Bans, and the American Library Association with input from national and grassroots organizations.

The deadline for organizations, including bookstores, to sign on is Friday, April 10th by 5PM ET / 2PM PT.
