NVNR Travel Grant & SIBA Registration Scholarship Deadlines are April 3
Registration opens on April 2 for the 2026 New Voices New Rooms Conference taking place in Baltimore, Maryland, August 2-5. That is only two weeks away. At the same time, the deadline for applying for an NVNR Travel Grant is fast approaching. Applications close on April 3, the day after conference registrations open, and a full month earlier than the deadline in past years.
The travel grants are part of NVNR's commitment to make the conference affordable for any bookstore in its extensive, 18-state region. Twelve $500 grants (six in each of the NAIBA and SIBA regions) will be awarded to help bookstores offset the travel expenses of attending.
Recipients will be announced April 10. The application period has been moved forward to April so that bookstores can make their plans while NVNR's discounted Early Bird registration period is still active.

May 1: NVNR regular attendee registration opens: $300 Full Event Pass for booksellers
SIBA-Specific Financial Assistance: Registration Scholarship Application Deadline is April 3
SIBA's Registration Scholarships were created to help booksellers with the expense of attending the NVNR conference. SIBA is offering 30 registration scholarships of $300 each. Only one scholarship will be awarded per store. Booksellers who have never attended an in-person NVNR conference, store owners seeking to provide professional development opportunities for their employees, and booksellers from bookstores operating under non-traditional business models are especially encouraged to apply.
The deadline to apply is April 3. Recipients will be announced on April 17.
