For Exhibitors: Your Exhibitor Directory Listing
One of the primary goals of every New Voices New Rooms conference is to foster connections between booksellers and exhibitors. Both SIBA and NAIBA have experienced strong membership growth in the last year, with many new members and new store owners. The conference features a fully functional attendee app that makes it easy for attendees to connect and schedule one-on-one meetings with exhibitors and with each other.
NVNR is also facilitating meetings between booksellers and exhibitors via the conference app -- which connects exhibitors to every attendee -- and the Exhibitor Directory, which tells booksellers where to find exhibitors on the exhibit floor. Every exhibitor receives a dedicated directory listing with their company name, description, appointment link, and table number. The directory goes live on June 1 on both the NVNR website and in the conference app.
Bookstores use the conference app in advance of the show to plan their schedules and book meetings with exhibitors. They use an exhibitor's directory listing to prioritize which companies they want to visit. There is no printed directory, so it is important to create a listing with information booksellers need to know.
What should be included in an NVNR Exhibitor listing?
- Logo: A sharp logo image will make it easier for booksellers to recognize you on the exhibit floor.
- Short Description: One or two sentences about the kind of products you carry or services you offer.
- Show Special: If you are running any order specials for the 4th quarter, list them. Booksellers look for this information when they are making buying decisions. This is also the place to include Enthusiasm and the Ask. Include a statement encouraging booksellers to connect and open new accounts and place orders while at the conference.
- Names and Contact info of on-site reps for NAIBA and SIBA territories. NVNR brings in hundreds of booksellers from 18 states along the East and Gulf coasts and west to the Mississippi. Exhibit staff should include sales reps covering the entire territory.
- Appointment Link: Registered attendees and exhibitors will be able to schedule appointments with each other during the conference using the conference app. But exhibitors can also supply their own link for scheduling appointments with sales reps outside of the NVNR event.
Commission groups and distributors representing multiple lines should list them in the description. Your represented lines can have their own listing if someone from the company has registered for the conference and will be on site and available to meet with booksellers.
The Exhibitor Directory will go live in June on the NVNR website and on the conference app. The NVNR team will add all initial listings, along with their assigned booth numbers, as they are confirmed. Exhibitors can designate one of their on-site personnel to manage their listing and make any necessary updates.
