Celebrate Children’s Literacy on September 25 in Dolly Parton’s Memory
In celebration of Dolly Parton’s contribution to children’s literacy, we have declared September 25, or Nine-Two-Five, Dolly Parton Children’s Literacy Day. SIBA is encouraging all our member stores to participate in this day to honor one of the biggest Southern supporters of books and children.
There are many ways to participate, including donating a percentage of sales to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library or a local children’s literacy organization, hosting a Dolly Parton-themed story and craft time and/or costume parade, having a children’s book swap, or allowing children to take over your store for the day to curate their own displays and shelf talkers.
