SIBA Updating Banned Books Week Toolkit for 2026
Banned Books Week is October 4-10, 2026
Now being updated for 2026, SIBA's Banned Books Week Toolkit is designed to be useful to SIBA booksellers not only for their Banned Books Week plans, but also for responding to book challenges in their communities. It includes marketing materials and templates created by SIBA, as well as a special section on using "Decide For Yourself"—SIBA's ongoing project highlighting SIBA bookseller reviews of books that are challenged or banned.
The toolkit also includes links to important resources and marketing materials from the American Library Association, ABA, ABFE, and SIBA’s Peer Bookseller Resource Library. It also includes Canva templates for customizable flyers and social media graphics, and "Decide For Yourself" downloadable bookmarks and shelf talkers.
