SIBA Enables Payment Plan Option for Bookstore Members

As of July 1, SIBA bookstores have the option to pay their member dues in monthly installments. The monthly payment plan includes a slight premium to cover extra credit card fees.

SIBA first activated monthly payment options in 2024 as a service to bookstores to help make SIBA membership more affordable and less of an impact on bookstore cashflow. When SIBA upgraded its membership platform and website at the beginning of 2026, those payment plans became month to month membership subscriptions, rather than a commitment to an annual membership. This not only complicated SIBA's membership reporting, it allowed less payment flexibility for bookstores.

Now, with the payment plan option available to SIBA bookstore members, bookstores that joined SIBA under the monthly membership will be able to renew at the same monthly payment rate, but with the option to make larger partial payments or even pay the entire balance with no extra fees. SIBA will be phasing out the subscription-based "Core Bookstore Monthly" member option by the end of September.
