NVNR Travel Grant Applications are Open

Travel grant applications are now open for the New Voices New Rooms Annual Conference (NVNR), taking place August 2-5, 2026, in Baltimore, Maryland.

Twelve travel grants will be awarded, six to bookstores in the NAIBA region and six to bookstores in the SIBA region. Applicants must be from a bookstore that is a current member of either NAIBA or SIBA.

The deadline to apply is April 3.

Recipients will be notified by April 10. Early applications are strongly encouraged.

NVNR serves bookstores across a wide geographic region—18 states, representing over a third of the country. It is committed to making the conference affordable even for bookstores that have to travel greater distances to attend.

Attending a conference is a big commitment of both time and money, especially in the current economy. But NVNR can also be one of the most cost-effective and profitable things a bookstore does, in terms of connections with vendors, authors brought in for store events, and new and unique books and products to enhance 4th-quarter sales.
