NVNR checklist: Things to do right now!

With the New Voices New Rooms Conference less than a month away, attendees and exhibitors should check the following things off their to do list before the event:

1. Double-check your hotel reservations. The deadline is Friday, July 10 to receive the conference rate of $185/night. After that, prices go back up. Click here to make your room reservations.

2. Get your tickets for the NVNR Awards Dinner. This special event honoring the inspiration and leadership of book people in the SIBA and NAIBA regions is a chance to come together to celebrate the independent bookselling community. It does require an extra ticket ($60). Visit your regional association to add one to your conference registration. NAIBA | SIBA

3. Sign up for the Bus Tour. Tickets are almost sold out for this much-beloved part of the NVNR program. Time and again booksellers tell us that some of their best conference takeaways came from the bookstores they visited on the tour. Add your bus tour ticket ($50) to your conference registration. 4. Review NVNR's Accessibility Policy. NVNR has committed to an accessible and inclusive conference. The Accessibility Policy explains what we promise, and also what we ask of attendees to ensure everyone can participate. Read up on the Accessibility Pass, and how to request one.

5. Pack your store swag for the NVNR Swag Swap. We always have a table for bookstores to show off their own store merch. There are always some really creative things on display. Leave stuff for others to take, take stuff others have left.
