Baltimore Bookstore Bus Tours: Tour 1 Details
Visiting The Ivy Bookstore, Atomic Books and Urban Reads Bookstore
THE IVY BOOKSTORE: EVENTS AS COMMUNITY OUTREACH
Often we see events and community outreach as different things or even potentially opposed. At The Ivy, the outlook is different: they believe they feed each other and are fully intertwined.
ATOMIC BOOKS: KEEPING IT SMALL (PRESS)
Atomic sets itself apart and appeals to its devoted community with a razor-sharp focus on literary and small press comics and publishers. Owner Rachel will talk about what this means for inventory, merchandising, and customer loyalty.
URBAN READS BOOKSTORE: AND BLACK LINE LITERACY BUS BRINGING THE BOOKS TO THE PEOPLE
Tia Hamilton has devoted her life to bringing books to everyone through her brick-and-mortar location and her Urban Reads Foundation. Now, with her new Black Star Literacy Bus, she is touring all 55 neighborhoods of Baltimore, bringing books to underserved communities. She'll show us her shop-- and her bus-- all in one stop!
NVNR thanks Bookshop.org for their sponsorship of the 2026 conference bus tours.
*These bookstores are ADA accessible, but there may be optional walking around The Ivy's garden*
