New Voices New Rooms

The New Voices New Rooms Annual Conference and Tradeshow for booksellers members of both NAIBA and SIBA organizations serves sixteen states in the mid-Atlantic and Southeast United States. The conference venue travels within the combined NAIBA and SIBA regions and is open to all SIBA and NAIBA members. Virtual programming, including New Voices New Room's signature Publicity Speed Dating event, is offered throughout the year.

Every New Voices New Rooms (NVNR) conference follows a basic pattern: The first day is given to bus tours of area bookstores. Day two is dedicated to bookseller education and development. The exhibit hall opens on the third day, and all the events in the program are focused on title discovery. The fourth and last day is all about bookseller to bookseller networking, and is given over in large part to bookseller retreats for owners, managers, children’s booksellers, and front-line staff. And every day there are meals, receptions, and panels where booksellers can meet authors, editors, and conference sponsors.

You can also expect plenty of opportunities to connect and network with fellow booksellers in casual, unplanned settings, and time for breaks and other chances to recharge or take a breather. Look for announcements about the conference on the NVNR website.
