Julia Davis

Julia R. Davis is the owner of The Book Worm Bookstore in Powder Springs, GA, and is currently serving her second term on the Board of Southern Independent Booksellers Alliance (SIBA) and her second year as President. Before entering the world of bookselling, Julia spent more than 15 years in the legal profession, including seven years in law firm management. She brings that experience, along with an entrepreneurial spirit, and strong commitment to community to her work as an independent bookseller.

Since becoming the owner of The Book Worm in 2020, Julia has grown the bookstore into a vibrant community space centered on literacy, connection, and belonging. She created The Book Worm Book Fest and partnered with the Cobb County Library System to launch Together We Read. The first independent bookstore and public library festival partnership of its kind in Cobb County.

Julia has also served on the American Booksellers Association Bookseller Advisory Council and is an instructor for the Professional Bookseller School where she shares her experience in event management and bookstore operations. Through her work as a bookseller, educator, and industry leader, Julia is passionate about strengthening independent bookstores and their role in the communities they serve.
