Cristina Nosti

Cristina Nosti is Director of Events & Programming at Books & Books in Miami, Florida. The locally-owned independent bookstore, founded by Mitchell Kaplan in 1982, is nationally-recognized for its author events and community-based programming. At Books & Books, she oversees one of the country's most respected author event programs, producing hundreds of literary conversations, book launches, and cultural events each year while connecting readers with leading voices in fiction, nonfiction, journalism, and the arts.

Nosti is the daughter of Cuban immigrants and before joining Books & Books over 20 years ago now, she built a distinguished career in South Florida's cultural community, serving in leadership roles at the Cuban Museum of Arts & Culture, the Museum of Contemporary Art, North Miami, and the Cultural Affairs Department at Miami Dade College. Her experience spans arts administration, grant writing, public relations, and cultural programming. She is a graduate of the University of Miami and has also worked in television and at Columbia Pictures in Los Angeles.

Throughout her career, Nosti has become a respected voice in independent bookselling, literary programming, and the promotion of free expression and reading communities. She is a frequent speaker at national bookselling conferences and is recognized for her work fostering meaningful dialogue between authors and readers.
