Professional Bio
Andrea Richardson (she/her) is the General Manager at Fountain Bookstore in Richmond, Virginia, a long-established independent bookstore in the heart of one of the city’s oldest neighborhoods. She and the rest of the Fountain team focus on selling new releases, with an emphasis on current genre literature, books by local authors, and courageous stories with inclusive values. They also welcome authors from indie publishers and major publishing houses alike, hosting both small in-store appearances and large-venue events.
In addition to her tenure at Fountain, Andi facilitates marketing on behalf of the Southern Independent Bookseller’s Alliance as the Sales Coordinator. In that capacity she works with publishers and authors to get their books in front of booksellers and readers alike, matching their goals and budgets with the products that best fit, helps plan and execute the annual NVNR conference, and particularly enjoys moderating author discussions. She loves to read Horror, YA, rom-coms (the queerer, the better), and a nice juicy memoir.
