Code ReadTitle Breakout Social Networking Promotion 

Code Read is SIBA’s new cutting-edge cross-platform promotional initiative designed to make the most of your book’s launch in the Indie market. A coordinated call to action broadcast across social network communities over a 24-hour span reaching over 50,000 readers --“#CodeRead: Read a good book STAT!”-- the program enlists social networking savvy booksellers on your book’s behalf, so that stores are all posting, sharing, and tweeting about your title on it’s launch day.

What do Publishers get?
The cost is $1999 and publishers enjoy a cadre of indie booksellers sharing the reviews, trailers, book club guides, interviews, and all assets with their followers, fans, and friends. Twenty five bookstores and SIBA will be doing outreach to tens of thousands of readers across the launch day of your new title. The book will also enjoy a guaranteed buy of 150 copies into the 2014 #CodeRead team of bookstores.

What do Publishers do?
Aside from shipping books to participating stores in a timely fashion for launch date promotions, Publishers and authors agree to participate and promote the #CodeRead hashtag and the bookstores that are part of the campaign.

What do Bookstores do?
When a store participates in Code Read, they agree to purchase six copies of the designated title.  Stores will be notified in advance the date, time, and content of the call which they will also promote through their social networks and other store outreach. 

What do Bookstores get?
Bookstores will benefit from increased visibility and in-store traffic thanks to coordinated title promotion. SIBA will provide each participating bookstore with $50 in SIBA co-op.

What does SIBA do?
SIBA negotiates with publishers for Code Read promotions, and initiates each Code Read call from its Facebook pages at Authors Round the South and Southern Independent Booksellers Alliance.
