Dear Booksellers,

Please take an extra moment to read about CLUB READ. This is a great opportunity to promote a great collection of "summer reads" to your book clubs, and earn $100 for every ticket you sell to the event.

Club Read

Club Read: Sign up to sell tickets & earn cash!

Club Read WidgetCLUB READ is a book club getaway for customers to be held in Virginia in October organized by SIBA, & NAIBA,, and Reading Group Choices. Tickets are available through the independent bookstore core members of SIBA & NAIBA.  Core member stores who register to participate as ticket outlets will receive $100 for each ticket sold.  Core member stores must sign up and get their registration code to share with their customers as the code is the only way you can get credit for your ticket sales. The SIBA store that sells the most tickets will be one of two booksellers on-site at CLUB READ.

Behind the Southern Indie Bestseller List

How do books get on the Southern Indie BestsellerList?

SIBA posts a bestseller list each week of the best-selling books in southern indie bookstores across the south.  This list is generated weekly thanks to the generous efforts of the American Booksellers Association and provided to regional associations across the country

It is always interesting to observe books that make the national list, or are unique to the southern list. SIBA makes a point of highlighting books unique to its own list, as well as books that have received strong bookseller support--as Okra Picks, Book Award titles, or books by southern "STARS" authors.

While the bestseller list is provided weekly, the list of reporting stores is provided quarterly and may not reflect every store that reports, although it does reflect the majority of reporting stores.  Stores can download the bestseller list for in-store placement and they can link to the list from their websites.
