2011 SIBA Book Award

Circle of Sites – Who needs $150?

We are excited to announce that we have over 70 southern indie bookstores participating in our innovative Circle of Sites Program. Each week, a new title is deemed Her Ladyship’s Pick of the Week and promoted across all of the bookstore websites as well as at www.ReaderMeetWriter.com. There is no other program like this one and participating bookstores can celebrate their early entrĂ©e into innovative combined advertising to our virtual browsers & shoppers. We also connect this title with www.FreeBookStimulusPlan.com promoting sales at the participating bookstores. These titles are averaging over 30,000 impressions each week on our combined sites, and are promoted heavily to SIBA’s nearly 5,000 fans, followers, and friends online. These are probably good books to carry in your store as SIBA creates buzz & interest in both these titles and your bookstore. Join SIBA here!

SIBA Bookseller Temp Agency

There are many experienced booksellers in the region. Most would love more hours of bookselling and the opportunity to experience another store close by. Or possibly you know someone who isn't working in the store anymore, but could use some temporary work?

Bookstores are always in need of temporary help during events, staff vacations, and to attend SIBA and ABA professional events.

To facilitate this need, SIBA will compile a list of booksellers who are available to work temporarily at stores across the region. We'll keep this list on our website, and you can refer to it whenever the need arises.

Publishers - if you have bookselling experience, and would like to keep your bookselling skills fresh, sign up too.
