SIBA Trade Show

Parapalooza!

Deadline is September 1, 2011

Frontline booksellers are our biggest asset. They are the face of the store to the customers, greeting booklovers, handselling their favorites, setting the tone, and seeing more than can be imagined.

Highly regarded booksellers often share that attending the SIBA tradeshow as young frontline booksellers changed their lives. For the first time they saw it as a profession, filled with sharing and caring colleagues.  They brought back to their stores so much information, enthusiasm, and book suggestions. Others have said that being allowed to attend the SIBA tradeshow reinforces their value to the store and gives them the incentive to increase their efforts to make the store better and profitable.  While some say "it's in the payroll" when it comes to expenses, isn't it better to think about the people on the payroll as a valuable asset that must be cultivated, educated and inspired.

So, sign up your frontline booksellers to attend the SIBA tradeshow, either with you or in your stead.  To apply for the Janet Bollum Scholarship, core member bookstore owners must submit to This email address is being protected from spambots.
