SIBA's listserv is a discussion group open to anyone interested in Southern books and bookselling. The group is a way for members to exchange information and draw on each other's expertise to help their business. Almost any bookselling-related topic is acceptable for discussion.*

*Because SIBA is a trade organization for small business owners, certain topics can not be discussed in a SIBA-sponsored forum because they would constitute a violation of trade conspiray laws. (These involve mostly 'calls to action' against competitors and the exchange of confidential information between business competitors). For this reason, the SIBA listserv is a moderated discussion group, and all posts must be approved before they are sent out to the entire group. In practice, the moderator is hardly noticible, and 99% of posts are approved immediately. Posts which can't be approved are returned to the sender with an explantion so they can be reworded.
