SIBA

SIBA's primary goal is to give independent booksellers the tools to be successful in the marketplace. All of its programming and services are geared towards this one important result--the success of independent bookselling in the South. Through it's newsletter and listserv, it promotes networking and a sense of community among booksellers. The SIBA Bestseller list, ARTS calendar, Book Awards and holiday catalogs raise the visibility of its member stores among the reading public. The Ask A Bookseller Program provide valuable education for its members. SIBA also sponsors cost-saving business tools such as its shipping program to help its members increase their profitability. The SIBA Tradeshow combines all these benefits in one annual jam-packed weekend filled with new books, new authors, and new ideas from scores of book industry professionals. Yearly dues are nominal, so why wait?

How to apply:

Step 1: Fill out the SIBA membership form (link below)

Step 2: Go bookweb.org to join ABA and use the promotional code 2008 REGNL in the space provided on the application. The ABA will then contact SIBA to confirm your membership and pay your dues for 2008.
