Publishers & Authors: Please note that SIBA strives to build the best show possible and that our featured author slots go to the newest books first. Books that are newly published in the fall of 2009 and the winter of 2010 are considered before any other titles.

Saturday - The Writers’ Block - SIBA Book Award First Ever Feed-an-Author Auction & Reception
Friday Industry Breakfast: This is the first meal of the show and includes the annual SIBA membership meeting and often includes an author. Over one hundred booksellers attend this breakfast and again, books are pre-signed. The author speaks for no more than 20 minutes. A $100 confirmation fee is required.
Friday Author Panels: All of the author panels this year will take place on Friday. Author Panels are scheduled either from 11 AM - Noon, or from 4-5 PM. We plan panels around topics for which we have nominated authors but we always try to do the following panels: Children & Young Adult. Last year we did panels around Thrillers, Stranger Than Fiction, History, Winter, & Belles. Any author on a panel should prepare to talk for no more than ten minutes and participate in a Q&A. Authors who appear on panels on Friday will sign their books on Friday afternoon. 75 Books are required plus the $100 confirmation fee.
Friday Kick Off Kids Author Lunch: This lunch is on Friday from Noon – 2 PM and features up to four authors of books for children. Expected attendance is 200. Authors pre-sign 200 books. Featured authors should speak for no more than 15 minutes. In addition to the pre-signed books, a $100 confirmation fee is required.
Friday SIBA Supper: This supper is on Friday night from 7 – 9 PM, and features up to four authors. Expected attendance is 300. Authors at this event will pre-sign 300 books. Featured authors should speak for no more than 15 minutes. A $100 confirmation fee is required.
Friday Late Night Readings: This is a late night event on Friday night from 9:30 – 10:30 PM. Attendance is about 150 so we’d need that many books and the $100 confirmation fee. Each author reads aloud for no more than 7 minutes and we will serve milk & cookies.

Saturday Southern Lunch: This lunch is on Saturday from Noon – 1:30 PM and features up to three Southern Favorites. Expected attendance is 200. Authors pre-sign 200 books. Featured authors should speak for no more than 15 minutes. In addition to the pre-signed books, a $100 confirmation fee is required.
Saturday - The Writer’s Block - SIBA Book Award First Ever Feed-an-Author Silent Auction
Bring your money and outbid your neighbor at this first ever SIBA FunRaiser! 2009 Book Award Authors will go on the block. You bid for the privilege of taking them out to dinner. Once the going, going, gones are announced the winning bidders and authors are off to dinner together. The minimum bid is $20 and must be raised in increments of at least one dollar. Shuttles will be available to take folks downtown to our sponsor Table 301’s family of restaurants. Every author package will include a restaurant gift card. A percentage of the proceed will got to Loaves & Fishes, an effort supported by Table 301 to feed Greenville’s hungry.
Sunday Rep Breakfast: Publishers will host a breakfast on Sunday morning where Reps will have the opportunity to present their pics for the season to booksellers. The is $250 per rep presentation and is limited to 15 reps presenting for 5 minutes each. All Inkreadible & Premiere Sponsors receive a Rep slot as part of their sponsorship.
Sunday Moveable Feast of Authors: This is the finale of the SIBA Trade Show and runs from Noon – 2 PM on Sunday followed by a 2-3 PM signing extravaganza. This event includes 20 authors at 20 tables. The authors rotate from table to table visiting with booksellers over the two hour time span. The authors must be available for a private brunch from 11 AM to Noon where they get their marching orders. This is a great event for all involved and is sponsored by Inkreadible Sponsor Ingram Book Company. 100 books are needed per author and a $100 confirmation fee.

All-STARS Autograph Area at SIBA:
New this year, SIBA will host an All-STARS Autograph Area on the Exhibit Floor of the Trade Show in Greenville, SC. Only authors that are STARS can participate. The price is $100 and you will be assigned a 1/2 hour slot on the half hour on Saturday or Sunday. We have 100 slots that will be filled on a first paid, first served basis. Join SIBA for 2010 before Aug. 1 and $100 signing fee will be waived.
This offer must be met in cooperation with your publisher and is for STARS authors. Have your publicist email SIBA directly on your behalf and subject line: the All-STARS Autograph Area.
Criteria:
The publisher must contact SIBA on the author’s behalf.
The publisher must agree to provide 60 copies of your book for this event.
The author must not be featured elsewhere at the SIBA Trade Show and must have a profile page at www.authorsroundthesouth.com
The book should be the most recent, but need not be a current or upcoming title.
