SIBA’s Circle of Sites Banner Program -important caveat: These banner ads carry a special pre-programmed hyperlink that will take the browser to the bookstore site's shopping cart to purchase the book (if the store has ecommerce) or to some other specially designated page (if they don't). We can't link to publisher or author websites, but we do provide the option to purchase the book on clicking if we can. The advertised books in this program are designated Lady Banks' Pick of the Week and are twittered and facebooked to our thousands of friends and followers.
Circle of Sites is a revolutionary approach to coordinated marketing in the Southern independent bookstore market. Designed to reach both booksellers and their customers, the program allows publishers to place a banner ad simultaneously on independent bookstore websites across the South, thus offering region-wide exposure.
The SIBA Circle of Sites pricing model is both affordable and effective. Pricing is based on the week the ads run, increasing as the year progresses. Ads that start their run in the month of January cost $199, in February the cost is $299, March is $399, April: $499, and so on through the height of the holiday shopping season to December, which costs $1299 per week.
Over 85 bookstores are currently participating in the Circle of Sites program and running the banner, including such high-profile stores as Books and Books in Coral Gables, FL, Malaprops in Asheville, NC, Fountain Bookstore in Richmond, VA, and Page and Palette in Fairhope, AL.
The banner spots are sold by the week, with reservations being taken on a first-come, first-serve basis. There are only 52 spots available for the entire year.
Now all banners are programmed to link to the hosting website's shopping cart to purchase the book.

(If you send a flash file, you also need to provide a "static" jpg or gif version for people who don't have flash players installed in their browsers.)
Deadline: 5 days before run date.
Tip: Circle of Sites banners are hyperlinked to store-specific product pages, so they should not contain action wording like “click here to visit the author's website” or other wording that implies the browser will be directed to a specific page. Books must be listed in the Indiebound.org database. Third party tags and click-tracking urls are not allowed.
