Authorsroundthesouth.com (ARTS) is a site sponsored by SIBA which promotes Southern literature and author events at independent bookstores in the South. The ARTS calendar of author readings is the largest event listing of its kind for the region. ARTS is also the home of the Southern Independent Bestseller List and Lady Banks’ Commonplace Book, SIBA’s email newsletter for people who love Southern literature. In 2008, ARTS will launch STARS--the Southern Touring Authors Registry Service--a registry of authors willing to speak at book clubs and other venues. Unlike sibaweb.com, ARTS is marketed directly to thousands of consumers, the people who are buying your books. Impression and click thru statistics are made available to all advertisers upon request.

Website Advertising Opportunities

HEADER IMAGE: Authors ‘Round the South has a unique opportunity for publishers by off ering placement in its Header Image. Th is is a large banner (762 x 142) that acts as the masthead for the page and has extra space for more elaborate graphics and a more in-depth message. Because of the Header Image’s highly visible placement and central location on the site, all ads must be pre-approved to meet with SIBA’s design specifi cations and standards. Header images stay up for a month, and rotate with other clients.

REGULAR BANNER ADS: Banner ads on Authors ‘Round the South run on a month by month basis. They can be 468 x 60 or 468 x 120 and display in rotation with other banners.

SKYSCAPER ADS: Skyscrapers are 120 x 600 or 120 x 120 and display along the right or left columns of the site. They run on a monthly basis and display in rotation with other banners.

SECTION-SPECIFIC: Target your audience and make the most of your advertising dollars by placing your ad where it will be seen the most. Both regular and skyscraper ads can be designated to appear in specifi c sections of the site. Sections which allow section-specific advertising include:

• Author Events Calendar and the Southern Touring Authors Registry Service (ARTS & STARS): The most extensive listing of author events and literary presenters in the South
• The Southern Independent Bestseller List: Is promoted in a weekly email to over 2500 consumers, booksellers, industry professionals and media outlets
