SIBA sponsors a consumer holiday catalog for its members each fall. The catalog is professionally designed, full-color, and features titles of both national and regional interest. Because the catalog is provided free of charge, it has become the marketing piece of choice for many SIBA member stores during the busy holiday season. Bookstores distribute over one million of these catalogs to their customers and their communities through mailings, handouts, store displays and newspaper inserts over a two or three month selling season.

New this year! In order to increase exposure and promote sales, SIBA will offer booksellers an insertion incentive against their insertion costs for putting the catalog in their local newspapers. The cash incentive will be given in exchange for sales data, which will be provided to participating publishers.

100,001 Book Project: To translate the increased visibility of the SIBA Book Award into increased book sales for SIBA members, SIBA will launch the 100,001 Book Project at the Decatur Book Festival. SIBA will showcase and share display ideas, online content, events, broker author appearances, provide templates for signag, and launch a full scale public relations program atourn the Awards. Participating bookstores will track the sales of the holiday catalog titles from Labor Day through the end of the year with the ultimate goal of selling 100,001 books.
