SIBA's primary goal is to give independent booksellers the tools to be successful in the marketplace. All of its programming and services are geared towards this one important result--the success of independent bookselling in the South. Through it's newsletter and listserv, it promotes networking and a sense of community among booksellers. The SIBA Bestseller list, ARTS calendar, Book Awards and holiday catalogs raise the visibility of its member stores among the reading public. SIBA also sponsors cost-saving business tools such as its shipping program to help its members increase their profitability.
